Hey, Hey, Hey...

What's happening?! I started this post 2 weeks ago. The title and first picture are all I got on here before I had to get off. I just wanted to take a minute to say "hey" and catch up. I finally made a permanent little sewing space for myself. I'm really happy about that. I painted an old sewing table we had and added new knobs that I also painted. I think I found the perfect shade of aqua. It's Valspar Tranquility. Love it! I have only had the chance to use my sewing space to make a few small and quick things. I made these cute little fabric baskets from this tutorial as thank you gifts. I machine bound mine. They sew up in about 20 minutes.I wanted to make the baby a few dresses. I found this cute Peasant Dress pattern here. They sew up in about 20 minutes also. I got two made and have fabric pulled for one or two more. So no quilting going on but I am drawing out quilts again and have the backing almost ready for my "Sweet" quilt. That is going to be a beast to quilt on my machine.
I hope you all are well and hopefully having some nice weather.

Hey!

Everything looks so sweet and cute. I made so peasant dresses for my big girl, but the tutorial I used didn't have a small enough size for my baby girl. So thanks for the link.

I love the honey bee quilt you drew out. That block was one of my favorites you did in your sew along.

Great job on everything! Just wondering what pattern you used for the awesome quilt wall hanging in the first picture you posted. The one above the sewing machine?

sweet sewing space, and the quilt is lovely. I was smiling at your colors and honey bee quilt drawing, I was just drawing this weekend myself, a friendship star circle. Great inspiration, color pencils and graph paper ~

Hi Heather-
The quilt hanging on the wall is from a hand pieced quilt along I hosted on my blog. There are links to all of the blocks with instructions under the "hand piecing~hand quilting" tab under my blog header. Thanks!

Happy for you and your little sewing space! I too have an old sewing table I am planning to paint, possibly a deeper aqua/or soft mint or maybe even a coral color to compliment the light aqua walls~do you have a picture of yours?
Love your little baskets, and the little peasant dress would be adorable for my granddaughter~ going to check out your tutorials.
I too have not had time for quilting or anything else...but hope to be back in the swing again now. :)
