By now you have probably seen all of the posts about the Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt quilt along. I picked this book up from my library last year and loved it but thought it too daunting to tackle. But now with all of this great support and inspiration I thought I'd join in. Yes, there are templates involved with some of the blocks, but I'm choosing to use freezer paper for my templates and it's not too bad.
I've made 5 blocks so far using my Strawberry Fields Layer Cakes. I love how each one is turning out.
This one is my favorite so far.
These are loads of fun to make.
You should join in!

It's so pretty!!!!
Love your blocks and fabric choices!
Ya know, Erin...you are bound and determined to get me into trouble! I had given some serious thought to jumping in on that and decided against it. Now I find myself thinking about it again! ohboy. I hope I'm strong enough to refrain from buying the book...once I do that, I'll be sunk. {grin} I must admit that your blocks look awesome!
love the fabric - I am using freezer paper for my quilt templates too.

Your blocks look great. I love the soft colors.
Your blocks are lovely... it's definitely making me want to get some Strawberry Fields for myself!
Those blocks are beautiful! What gorgeous colors. Those are enough to make me want to make a Farmers Wife Quilt even though I am so pressed for time. It's gorgeous!
Your blocks look so nice in those fabrics.
I just bought this book last night.. it's like peer pressure with all of the great work everyone's doing.
The Strawberry Fields fabric looks great for these blocks!
I LOVE these in the Strawberry Fields! I am so having fun doing the Farmer's Wife. Also -- and you will laugh at me -- but I found a website for Civil War blocks -- block of the week -- so I'm doing those in more modern patriotic fabrics. I love patriotic quilts, and it's time for a new one. Well, maybe not really, but my heart wants to make another one. :) LOVE your Farmer's Wife blocks.
this is so pretty....i love the fabrics. what line is that?
I've had the book for a while also. I love the fabrics you chose, but I don't think I have time to join in the fun. Can't wait to see your finish.
I just bought your book through amazon. You seem to have the style and taste I have been looking for. Can’t wait to get it! Linda
