Sew Together Bag

Over Easter, when my mom was visiting, I made her a sew together bag (which I did not get one single picture of). I pulled the fabrics and prepped all of the pieces for my bag but that was as far as I got. This weekend  I had the chance to sew my bag together. I think it is adorable!

It's a gloomy overcast day today but I had to try to get pictures of it. I added a little patchwork and hand quilting to the exterior of the bag.

My daughter said it looks like a candy store! love that!

I plan on using it for my sewing stuff. But I can see it being used for so many things. It's really roomy inside and I'm always fond of lots of pockets.

Aren't these tiny pins so cute?!

I also added this pretty little patch just because :)

I will definitely be making more of these. Pulling fabric for them is just too fun with so many possibilities.

Happy sewing!

xo Erin

That is such a sweet mix of colors and prints!!! I love it! Is the minty green fabric you used for binding an old print?

I agree with you, it's absolutely adorable and your daughter is right - it does look like a candy store. :-) It's perfect for sewing stuff. I wish I could sew something like this, it's just seems too complicated to me. Beautiful work!

Fantastic!! Are the zip end strips attached to the bottom of the bag on each side?

Heather @ Winding Bobbins! Thanks! Yes, they are.

Also wanted to just say thank you to everyone. I am not receiving e-mail notifications of all of the comments or I would have responded sooner. I am in the process of switching to a gmail so I hope that will help with the problem!! Thanks again!!
