String Quilt Finished!

Yes! I finally finished my string quilt. It took what seemed like forever to bind this quilt. I didn't realize how much I don't sit down during the summer. But here it is in all it's stringy, quilted, bound glory :)

The quilt is on the small side but that's just fine with me. I'm really happy with it.

I used scraps for the binding too. This kept me interested while hand binding. I have plans for another, only bigger!

I know that string quilts can get a bit tedious during the "making" portion, but they are spectacular when finished. This is beautiful!

I just found your blog. I saw that you shop at Hayloft Fabrics, that means you live near me! Do you belong to any local guilds?

How exciting to finish such a long project! A string quilt is on my list (because I have tons of string scraps), but I just haven't let myself start one yet. Yours looks great!

For the life of me I'll never know how you have the patience for a string quilt. It is beautiful and worth it I'm sure . . . I'm just not capable! :)
