Today I hung up most of my small quilts for my "someday" quilt wall. I have mentioned this quilt wall a few times before. I originally saw it here. I was going to wait until we painted our bedroom but that is just not going to happen before the baby is born. I had to do something though. I am not fond of the wallpaper/border or the color of the room. The wallpaper is bubbling and peeling in spots and it drives me nuts some days. This is my temporary solution to that problem. I can ignore the wallpaper and just look at the quilts. I like it!
If you're wondering why there are 2 quilts on my bed, it's because I'm pregnant. And hot. All the time. So I use our summer quilt while my husband uses the winter quilt. This is about as made as my gets :)
Thanks for all of the advice on baby quilt sizes. I hope to be putting a top together tonight that I can show you this week. I'm still working on responding to comments. Yahoo does not like my dial-up internet. So I'll be working on that too!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
There is just SO much quilty goodness in that picture, I don't even know where to begin! That would be my favorite wall in the house! :)

ReplyDeleteYour quilt wall is so awesome! It makes me want to hang all my quilts together and see how they look!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's weird that you have two quilts on your bed, my husband and I each have our own. I don't like to share and he likes to roll up like a burrito!
Love the wall and love the quilts!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I bought stuff to hang mine about 3 months ago, but still haven't actually hung them... You've motivated me to pull my finger out and do it :o)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I have several little quilts that don't have a special place yet, and this would be perfect for displaying them. Thanks so much for sharing!

ReplyDeleteAwesome
ReplyDeleteI adore your quilt wall and have a space above my sitting chair in my sewing room for mini quilts. I just saw the Baby's first Christmas birdy mini you made last year. You are always an inspiration to me and I hope to create my own little birdy quilts as sweetly as you have. Thanks Erin!
ReplyDeleteFantastic quilt wall, so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd great news too :) congratulations!
Hugs,
Tatyana
I'm not sure I would get much done around the house if I had a pretty wall like that! I would plant a comfy chair right where I could see it and enjoy it for much of the day! Such a pretty way to showcase your lovely pieces! You've got me thinking I need to start making mini quilts to cover up this awful 70's paneling!
