Tweet Tweet more Free Motion Applique..


I made a new mini yesterday. Can I just say that I love it?!  I know I say that a lot but it's true. This color combination is really appealing to me. Pretty much anything combined with aqua is appealing to me. It had been a while since I made some sketchy birds and I have a lot of fun making them so I made some :)  I have an idea for another one that's a little different and I'm really excited about it. I think I will work on that this week.



I love the patchwork border. The other ones I made like this had no borders and I quilted the background of the birds. For this one I left the birds alone and quilted the patchwork with straight lines. One more to add to my "someday" quilt wall.

    Oh my! That is simply darling! Don't know if I'm brave enough to attempt making this though. Afrais my little birds might end up looking more like some odd new species. LOL! Not sure if I can resist though. Very cute!

    This is too adorable for words! And, that aqua and orange...thinking something quilty has to be made with that color combo. Actually, I just bought a yard of oranges on aqua fabric to make an apron for myself someday (soon).

    i stumbled upon this listed on etsy and i had to track you down! it's just the cutest damn thing i've ever seen! aqua + orange are our master bedroom colors, but you're right - aqua goes with everything. currently trying to see if the change jar is full enough to buy it . . .
