My friend Donna did the quilting for me on her longarm. Isn't it so pretty?! I wanted this quilt to be really special for my daughter. We even painted her room to match the aqua/minty color in the fabric line. She picked out the quilting pattern she liked. It's called Popcorn and I think it looks so nice on this quilt!
This is my favorite block in the quilt.
I really enjoy quilting on my sewing machine but sending this one out to be quilted by Donna was really great! It was the first time I have had a quilt quilted for me and I am thrilled with Donna's beautiful quilting! Can I also say how nice it was to not have to crawl all over the floor to baste it?! it was really nice!
My daughter loves it too! I washed and dried it right away and she has been happily snuggling under it's crinkly goodness ever since.
I just want to thank Donna for doing such a beautiful job quilting this for me. It was such a pleasant experience especially for my first time having a quilt sent out. It was so smooth. I purchased my batting and backing fabric from her and she ships your quilt back to you for free. I thought that was awesome.
HERE is her info if you are ever in need of longarm services.
Hope all is well where you are. Have a great week!
Happy Sewing!!!
xo Erin

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty quilt! That is a very cute pattern. I love the colors in that line of fabric, and your quilting is perfect...not too much, but just enough to be very snuggly. I bet her room looks as cute as a button with that beauty in the spotlight. Beautiful finish!

ReplyDeleteI am in love with this quilt!! I'm going to have to make one of these. It's now at the top of my "to make" list. You did a beautiful job! Did you have a pattern of just a block pattern for this. Thanks for sharing! Kay
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful and the quilting is perfect for it. I usually have my quilts quilted because I have not been brave enough to do my own. I am planning to take that step soon and give a small one a try. Your daughter is sure to treasure this quilt for a long time.
ReplyDeleteErin, this is SO beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I can see why your daughter loves it!
ReplyDeleteIt is inspiration to finish quilting a WIP that I have!

It's a beautiful quilt!!! What a special finish!
ReplyDeleteI have sent 3 quilts out to a quilter for long arming and as difficult as it is to give up control (golly, I have issues!) it's soooo nice to have that part done by someone else. It's even more fun to bind because you get to admire someone else's handiwork rather than seeing all the mistakes in your own quilting.
