ReplyDeleteI follow on Facebook. My last layer cake, I did the Layer Cake Quilt A long on Material Girls site, and had a gorgeous bedspread to give my great nephew for his first birthday. I usually make twin bedspreads out of layer cakes, there are a lot of cool ideas on Missouri Star Quilt Company's site.

I am their follower on IG. I leave in 7 sleeps to go to Ottawa, Canada to visit with family including my 93 year old Nana. This is the highlight of my summer. I haven't been home for nearly 3 years so it will be nice to have hugs from them all!

ReplyDeleteI'm a facebook follower of Southern Fabrics. I'm learning to knit. I know it's not sewing and quilting, but it's so portable. I'm also doing lots of gardening this Summer. Also a new learning experience.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing that I've done with a layer cake was the granny square quilt block. It made quite a few of those blocks and when alternated with solid blocks made a good-sized quilt :)
