3 Lttle Birds....

I can't stop with the birdies! I love this one. The colors, the size, everything. I pulled my American Jane fabrics out and used them in the patchwork border. I think they look great with the tree and birds. I love the vintage look of these prints.

I used 1/2 inch hexagons. The littlest little bird is smaller than a dime. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head with these little peeps, so you'll probably see a couple more of these soon. I am neglecting my Farmer's Wife blocks and other quilty things but these NEED to be made :)

Happy!

  19. I was about to send my friend Jenna of SewHappyGeek the link, since she's loving hexies right now and wrote a brilliant hexie mug rug tutorial for my blog, but then I saw your link for the {sewbeeit} quilting bee! We're both in it too, so I thought she MUST have seen your beautiful hexie tree already. SO ADORABLE!!! I'm thrilled I found your blog, you do such beautiful work. Go hexies!!
