Pink and Green Chemo Quilt

I haven't had the chance to post for a while. Thought I'd grab a second this morning. I have a few quilts I am working on right now. This top is for my mother-in-law. She was diagnosed with lymphoma last week and she will be starting chemo next week. It's lap size to keep her warm during treatment.

I think the birdie fabric is a new breast cancer fabric by Linda Lum De Bono for Henry Glass Fabrics. The words are encouraging and I thought it fitting for this quilt. Plus the fabric is bright and cheery.

I have a quick and easy tutorial for making these blocks I hope to put up in a few days. I also have one for the Civil War reproduction fabrics I've been working on.

*If your so inclined please keep my mother-in-law in your prayers! Thank you!

  5. It was good to see a new post, and I love the quilt! The little birdies look even better made up inside the blocks! I'm sure the quilt will be a real treasure, and yes, I will pray right now.
